Case R8: Designing AI Robotic Arm Application

Complexity
  • Medium - Advanced
Target Level
  • P4 – P5

Objective:
To discover practical theories, applications and programming opportunities to further students’ understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, Robotics Coding, by understanding the core concepts of robotic arm and how to apply AI technology to different situations.

Description:
The school will organise a basic training course for students to learn the basic concept of the robotic arm and its application. Students will operate the robotic arm and learn basic Scratch coding to perform AI programming exercises such as positioning, recognition of shape and color, and complete tasks such as classification and debugging. In the advanced training course, students will use Scratch to develop application solutions suitable for daily life, such as smart supermarkets, garbage sorting, etc. Students are required to add various AI technology, such as text recognition, image recognition, speech recognition, etc.
