Objective:
To offer hands-on building experience and programming learning opportunities to students. Start by leading them to create a pixel display wall with the plastic building blocks, and then further decorate the wall by making certain parts of it programmable. Students are expected to savour the fun and function of coding, and take pleasure in exploring the creative combination of artwork with IT technology in modern society.

Description:
The students are firstly encouraged to design a pixel display wall with a theme by using the plastic building blocks. At the second stage, the students will be provided with a microcontroller board and then proceed with some basic knowledges of coding to make certain parts of their pixel display wall programmable.

A series of coding learning workshops will be organised for the students, aiming at enlightening the students to apply the basic coding concepts to their designed pixel display wall. For example, the workshops will touch on various interesting coding elements that are commonly applied to the construction of a pixel display wall, like LED effects, motor functions, sound and colour sensors, and so on. In this way, students are expected to make their artwork much more extraordinary by adding the programmable elements.
