Case A1: Experience AI by interactive demo space and blocks coding

Complexity
  • Elementary
Target Level
  • Tier 1: P3 – P4
  • Tier 2: P5 – P6

Objective:
To introduce students to Artificial Intelligence (AI) with blocks coding to learn the basic AI concept, limitation and responsibility on blocks coding platform and interactive demo space. Upon completion of the course, students would be able to apply cloud-based AI technology and train AI models, and build different simple AI applications on mini-pc.

Description:
The school will organise a series of basic AI workshops to provide practical and interactive AI lessons for students. Various components including mini-pc, LED, webcam, display, etc. will be provided. They are prepared for students to design, build, program, manage and drive their intelligent devices. Students can experience AI by interactive demo space, learn how to be AI Maker by applying coding and cloud-based AI technology, and train AI models to build different simple AI devices. Examples of AI devices include object recognition, emotion detection, determining similarities of two faces, detecting specific types of animals, pose detection and smart recycling machine.
