Shun Tak Fraternal Association Yung Yau College, a partner school of the “Enriched IT Programme in Secondary Schools”, has won one Gold and two Bronze awards in the Korea International Women’s Invention Exposition (KIWIE) (with photos)

Students from Shun Tak Fraternal Association Yung Yau College, a partner school of the “Enriched IT Programme in Secondary Schools”, and its Mainland sister school Shunde Wengyou Middle School located at Foshan, participated in the 12th Korea International Women’s Invention Exposition (KIWIE) held in South Korea from 20 to 23 June 2019. They have won one Gold and two Bronze awards.

The Gold Award winning entry “Smart Medicine System” can assist the visually impaired or other people in distinguishing medicines and prompting them to take medicines by reading out medicine information through the use of Near Field Communication (NFC) stickers or QR Code in tandem with mobile apps. The other two Bronze Award winning entries are “Save One’s Life” vehicle accident protection system and “Driver’s Mental Surveillance System”.

Awardees of Smart Medicine System include : Chan Miu Yi, Cheung Wing Yin and Wong Tsz Yau.

Awardees of Driver’s Mental Surveillance System include : Kwok Yee Kan and Kwok Yee Ki.

Awardees of Save One’s Life include : Chan Hin Ching and Liu Wing Yan.

The Korea International Women’s Invention Exposition (KIWIE) aims to present and introduce outstanding innovative products from female entrepreneurs, help promote sales and provide practical assistance to the business of female inventors through enhancing brand recognition among consumers.
